The Story
Through rigorous focus on listening to their customers and a commitment to doing the right thing PTSB became aware that certain elements of their websites, apps and brand were not fully “digitally accessible”. Digital Accessibility is the process of designing websites or apps to ensure there are no barriers preventing interaction or access by people with disabilities.
Given their commitment to inclusivity and building a better experience for all customers, PTSB knew they needed to explore solutions to bring all their customer connection points to the highest level of digital accessibility.
PTSB engaged Vially as digital accessibility subject matter experts and began the process of moving towards becoming a more accessible banking brand.
What We Did
Through a collaborative process, in-depth consultancy, and technical auditing of digital assets - a clear plan was developed. This covered the customer and business banking websites and applications across all operating systems and hardware.
These investigations were supported by PTSB design & engineering teams to ensure all elements of the customer journeys were reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.
A full audit report containing a list of potential issues with remedial actions and a structured approach to digital accessibility was provided to PTSB, and they took the whole process extremely seriously. We saw engagement from the very top of the organisation, which was fantastic to see.
